Pakistan e-Visa Information

The e-Visa for Pakistan is an online visa that grants entry to the country for eligible travelers.

The Pakistan tourist e-Visa grants a single entry and a stay of up to 3 months for most foreign nationals. Once in Pakistan, an approved eVisa may also be extended for up to 6 months.

A Pakistan e-Visa may be granted as a double entry or multiple entry visa online for select nationalities.

There are also other types of Pakistan visa available online for purposes of visit other than for tourism, including business visas, student visas, work visas, journalist visas, and diplomatic visas.

When applying, foreign nationals must first select the type of visa they require before proceeding.

Applicants must complete a simple online form to obtain the Pakistan e-Visa. This involves submitting some basic personal data, passport information, and contact details.

The e-Visa system facilitates the application process and eliminates the need to go to a Pakistan embassy to apply for a visa in person.

Pakistan e-Visa Requirements

In order to apply for a Pakistan visa online, it is necessary for foreign nationals to meet certain requirements.

Applicants must be nationals of eligible countries. The majority of nationalities are able to apply for an e-Visa for Pakistan.

When completing the Pakistan visa application form online, applicants must provide the following:

  • valid passport issued by an eligible country
  • An email address to receive the approved Pakistan e-Visa
  • method of payment, such as a credit or debit card, to pay the visa fee
  • Proof of legal residence

Covid Update for Pakistan

Travelers may enter Pakistan if they are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and have a certificate to prove it (children under 18 are exempt). Individuals who cannot be vaccinated for medical reasons may bring a medical certificate explaining their situation instead. All travelers aged 12 and over must install the Pass Track App on their mobile device and submit their details prior to making the journey to Pakistan and obtain a printed confirmation (passengers with disabilities are exempt from this). All passengers over the age of 6 years old must also have a negative coronavirus PCR test result in either English or Arabic, taken within 48 hours before traveling. Travelers could be subject to a rapid antigen test when they arrive in Pakistan. Children under the age of 6 are exempt from all test requirements. Passengers may be subject to quarantine. Individuals arriving from the following countries cannot enter Pakistan: Botswana, Croatia, Eswatini, Hungary, Ireland, Lesotho, Mozambique, Namibia, Netherlands, Poland, Slovenia, South Africa, Ukraine, United Kingdom, Vietnam, and Zimbabwe. Flights to Gwadar (GWD) and Turbat (TUK) are suspended.
